Thread: License plate holes

    License plate holes

So the dealer drilled holes in my Crosstrek (before we purchased , to install their brand tag on front) no need for front license plate bracket here in NC but now I got holes in my bumper

Anyone sell color matched plugs or something? I left the mounting screws in for now.

I spray painted some generic plugs that did the trick, but after a couple of weeks decided they looked like ugly warts, and ended up just going with the ever-popular plate delete through Etsy:

You could always install a novelty plate up there, to hide the dealer holes and the Japan holes:

I feel your pain. You could try this stuff. Fill the holes. sand smooth and use touch up paint to blend.

Did you ask the dealer what they were going to do to correct the vandalism performed by them?
Here in AUS they don’t drill any holes, just put their frames around the standard number plates. I always tell them when I order to leave off the frames & their rear window sticker. My trade-off is a free accessory (cargo nets or sill-plates perhaps) if I am expected to carry their advertising.

You might get a bottle of touch-up paint and paint the mounting screws to match. Or a silver-grey off-the-shelf spray paint may match well enough.

    Welcome Vulcan

I truly feel your pain on this one, bumper delete plugs "Color matched to Subaru "

https://www.bumperplugs.com/index.ph...y&path=1_11_96 hit select and a drop down screen will give you the color options..

Covers up what others have managed to screw up "If you only require one plate in your State, why in [email protected]#$ name would the High priced help be drilling holes there "

    Hope this helps

Please Post pic once you have these installed

    License plate holes

Yea wouldn’t look so bad with just the plugs in the Japan holes, but they drilled additional holes for a generic license plate holder so got four holes instead plus they yellowed from the rubber grommet on back of frame,

I’m gonna try and paint dm up see how it looks
