Updated Smartphone Feedback Thread

We're pleased to announce that we have launched a new smartphone view on
the site, in addition to the recently added mobile view in the last
upgrade. This version has been designed to have a cleaner look, to fit
really nicely into mobile (iPhone, Android) browsers, and unlike most
normal web based skins will also include features that are normally
reserved for desktop or phone applications. We built this as we realize
you all spend more time today on your phones on the forum than you did 2
years ago, and we want to get the mobile view to a place where you can
do everything (and more!) that you can do on desktop.

A few notes as I know many of you may have questions:

* This does not replace the free or paid in-apps that you have, such as any mobile apps. This is web-only.
* This new skin will only show when you access the site from a modern
(Android 4+, iPhone) phone. It will not show for older phones or for
tablets, blackberries or windows phones.
* Please give us some time as we work through bugs. Give it a try, give
us feedback in our mobile thread url, and give it a chance. Every change
needs time to get used to!

If you visit the site from your mobile phone, you'll get the new view
automatically. You can login, post, reply, upload photos, view your
private messages and more. You can also use the legacy mobile view by
choosing the top left menu and Exit Enhanced Mobile Mode.

The feedback thread for any bugs, etc, please post below.

**Please let use know the device, software version, and browser being used if reporting any issues.

Thanks!

How does one re-enable the enhanced mobile mode once you've exited out?

If you clear your cache and cookies from your browser, you will be prompted with the option to enter EMV, once you enter back in the site.

I wanted to state this - whenever browsing the forums on a smartphone, it always gets stuck at the loading circle. Refreshing the page several times will cause it to say "There was a problem with this website and it was reloaded".
I can't comfortably browse on mobile at all, and revert to my computer at work. It is basically useless on the mobile site.

Tested on Safari and Chrome on iOS 10 and Chrome on Android 4.4.4 with the same results. Clearing cache and cookies does not work.

This happen signed in or out or both?

Not getting any luck recreating this behaviour. Do you see any other messages on your phone is trying to load? Something about what is trying to load?

It does seem to be worse when logged in. I've tested it on multiple devices. Even now I have to refresh every page or link to get things to show.

No other messages. Just that spinning circle. Tested with and without ad blocker. Tested on a new blank iPhone at work with no change.

Here's pictures. This happens in Chrome too. My work phone is an iPhone and has no ad blocker and does this too in both browsers.
My Nexus 7 tablet does the same too.

I've been having the same issues. Haven't been able to use the enhanced mobile view in months. Have tried just about everything I can think of including clearing my cache / cookies and turning off my adblocker. Nothing seems to help.

I tried this on an iPhone 5c, Android Edge 6, and an ipad without being able to replicate this.
Does clearing your cache and cookies from your device hep clear anything up?

Are you using the most recent versions of the devices and browsers?

I have cleared cache and cookies for both browsers. Everything on my iPhone(s) are up to date with 10.2.1 iOS and the latest version of everything else. My 2011 Nexus 7 is on 4.4.4 KitKat with Chrome. Incognito mode doesn't make a difference with Chrome either. I work as an IT Support Specialist and every troubleshooting option I've tried hasn't worked.
I just use my work PC whenever I can.
