How to tap wires for rear fog lights?

Well I already seen several videos out there. I just need opinions about those t tap or other similar products. So has anyone tried doing it that way? Has anyone had problems with it? I read that those are pretty bad and the best way to tap wire together is to just solder them.

I've used them on other rigs with no issues. Last time was tapping into the reverse wire for a back-up camera on a 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser.

After a failing vampire tap on my Hellas on the front, im going back to Solder. better solid connection. just my 2 cents. plus i know soldering is not always the easiest solution in hard to get places.

Quality vampire tap or T tap should rarely fail (as long as you use the right size and properly install). Depending on what you are doing, add a fuse may be a better solution. Solder is pretty much always the most reliable solution (assuming you know how to solder correctly). However, it is also usually the least practical one to do.

I really hate T taps or vampire taps. stripe a bit of wire, remove it from the plug, solder then properly shrink tube it.
I have seen way way way to many T taps fail.
