Contact the seller. Ask to see a video of their LEDs, both lows and highs, at night.

Hey! First post here but I thought I would add in my thoughts! I did an upgrade on my Subaru for head lights as I have always ran HID'S on mine. I ended up going with a 6k low beam only. The HID'S I run are high enough power I never have the need for the high beams and if I do, I have 2 LED light bars on the bottom. I would highly look into this setup!

    Hope this helps!

I am also using an HID kit. Mine is 5,000K and made for reflector housings.

Here is a video of the low beams.

You don't need your high beams because you're blinding all oncoming traffic and are a rolling hazard at night.

Please do some more research into changing out just the bulbs. There is a reason the headlights are completely different between halogen, HID and LED headlamps. The light output is completely different and require very different optics to handle the light. Just changing bulbs doesn't even get you close to the potential of say a retrofit of swaping headlamp assemblies. Your best bet is to do an H9 conversion to your low beams. It's still a halogen so it won't cause dangerous glare and its a bulb you can buy for fairly cheap.

H9 uses 65 watts where 55 watts was intended.

Correct, also using halogen where halogen was intended. However the difference here between going up in watts vs changing the entire bulb is the optics are still correct for the bulb. Same filament orientation, same hot spot, only difference is power which lets face it a 10W increase is enough to improve output but not glare oncoming drivers.

18% increase; service managers and EEs would not recommend doing this.

Are you arguing the safety concerns of 18% more light when you yourself are running HIDs which can reach up to 3x the output?

It seems odd that you are trying to argue the dangers of increased light output from a person who is in fact running a light source known to produce more light, in an application for which it was not designed, and pulling (upon startup) up to 2x more wattage than the OEM 55w bulbs pull. Am I missing something here?
