So just want to know if this is normal. I have a short commute with only a short 6 miles to work. When I arrive at my destination and turn the car off I hear ticking sounds like it was overheating. I would only heat it when the car is turned off and outside of the car. It would tick every 5 seconds. It would last for 10 minutes before subsiding, but just want to know if anyone else have this? or should I bring my car in to get it check out. I have a 2015 premium white crosstrek with 9000 miles now.

Welcome to the Forum

May I congratulate on an Awesome color choice:rock:

The ticking sound you are hearing presuming it is coming from Outside of the car is Quite Normal,as it is coming from the exhaust system, from the Catalytic converter to be precise, temps there can reach 2200 degrees

It will disappear over time as the metal stretches, so nothing to be concerned with.

Enjoy your weekend
