Ongoing Exterior Modifications of my car

I thought that the amber colored bulbs look kinda ugly in the nice looking tail and headlights. So i replaced them with chrome coated bulbs that still glow amber when using your turn signals. So now, the lights dont have the ugly amber eyeball staring back at you. Bought the bulbs on amazon for $11.99 for a pair. took about 20 minutes to swap.

And I had to add this to my rear window. LOL

So much nicer looking. Good eye for a small detail like that.

Thanks guys... Its such a small little thing, but bothered me for some reason. And im contemplating the amber removal in the headlights. A shop that works on headlights offers that service. Ihave the rear oem spoiler on the way, and a slightly darker tint for the tail lights. Just a "smoke" color or shade if you will. I will be posting pics of that also.

im digging the orange and black theme on the car so I tinted the rear tail lights, 3rd brake light and reflectors in the bumper.

In progress.... you can see the difference in tail lights

    up close

For you safety minded people... almost all the light comes through. you would be surprised. I was. thats the only reason why i went through with it. here is a pic with all the lights on, and then with the brakes applied....

Then i decided to debadge her. If anyone is interested in doing this, DO IT NOW... wifes hairdryer and 5 minutes later, i was done. Used my fingers and her hairdryer. Very easy. If anyone wants my letters, you can have them, let me know....

BUT...... i decided to experiment by spraying the "XV" with the spray tint i used for the reflectors on bumper. I hope the pic does it justice, but the outside edges stayed a little silver. Basically it looks like black letters that are outlined in silver/chrome. came out pretty nice so i kept it and tossed it back on the car.

All done, debadged, but without the XV. took the pic while the letters were drying....

Hayden.... tint for tails are Lamin-x. I had one of their recommended shops do the tails. They are VERY VERY difficult to do because of the almost 90 deg turn. I did the 3rd brake light, and sprayed the reflectors with tint spray from autozone. I tried the tails on my own with a precut set they sent me. IMPOSSIBLE. Even the guy doing it said a precut piece would be impossible. hes been doing tint for 16 years. He had rolled sheets so he had room for error.

Chase.... let me find the link. i will PM it to you.
